By former president of Sangbitti: Shri Dipak Kumar Hore
I am fortunate to serve as a president of the organization,Sangbitti. During my tenure I got opportunity to observe the activities of our director , Shri Pradyot Chowdhury very closely. His profile is just like a common man of the society. But what attracted me much was his passion for cultural activities. His elocution ,his acting, his direction, he as a playwright, his organizing capacity – all these were surprising to me.
Once I managed to invite him in the annual social function of one branch of State Bank India (Burrabazar,Kolkata) for performing an unique elocution programme (Abritti Drishyayan) added with mime, dance, light, music, stagecraft and cinematography, It was enormously appreciated by the whole audience. For his excellent presesentation he was again invited to perform the same type of elocution programmeat other two branches of SBI at Kolkata. Actually he made a mark by introducing a new genre in the field of recitation.
He gave me a chance to take part in his play,’ Bratyo Noy’. It was a great experience to me. The drama was written by him , He directed the drama and played a role in the drama. I enjoyed his company all the time
